The Young Adult Services Division of the Suffolk County Library Association is looking for nominations for the 2018 Executive Board. The available positions are: Vice President/President Elect (3 years, VP/President/Past President), Secretary, Treasurer, Member at Large: Membership and Fran Romer Annual Workshop Committee, Member at Large: Teen Talk Newsletter and Webmaster. Attached please find descriptions of the YASD Executive board and duties. All Candidates must be members of SCLA and one year of employment in Suffolk County Library. The term will run from December 2017 - December 2018.
Serving on the YASD Board will help you advance your career (resumes, civil service tests). It will give you practice running professional meetings. You can share your vision for good teen services and you can help make YASD/SCLA better. It is not an opportunity you want to miss.
The call for nominations will be open until Friday, March 31, 2017. Email a short bio and the position you're interested in to Casey Fehn, President Elect of YASD (casey@myrml.org). Please make your subject in your email, YASD Executive Board 2018. To be eligible to vote for the YASD Executive Board, you must be a SCLA & YASD member in good standing.
