The Awards were created in 2011 as a way to promote and celebrate the outstanding work that Young Adult Librarians are providing to the teens of Suffolk County.
Every year, at the YASD Annual Author Visit and Luncheon, each nominee is recognized and the recipient of each award will be presented with a plaque.
