Brooklyn Book Festival
If you missed this year's Brooklyn Book Festival here is a nice pictorial recap from PW. The weather was gorgeous and authors extraordinary! The highlight of my day was hearing the amazing Libba Bray speak to a small group of librarians. When asked what advice she would give aspiring teen writers she said:
"Read-read everything you possibly can!" and "Be Brave."
In close 2nd was a hilarious round of YA Jeopardy featuring Libbb Bray, Natalie Standiford and Daniel Nayeri.

Thank you to our wining logo designer, the creative

25 Important Legal Issues Every Librarian Should Research
Interesting article. As the author points out, not many outside our field recognize the potential for legal implications within the library setting. As always, education and awareness are the best defense.
