Meeting Rescheduled

Due to the predicted inclement weather, the January YASD meeting (How to Run a Successful Author Event) has been postponed to Thursday, January 20, 2011. The meeting location has also been changed to the Harborfields Library located at 31 Broadway, Greenlawn NY 11740.

YASD Elections

The Young Adult Services Division of SCLA is looking for ambitious and innovative individuals for the 2011-2012 Executive Board. The following positions are open for election:

Vice-President/President Elect:

•Works with the President to plan programs and special events.

•Chairperson of the BEST Award Committee

•Prepares balloting and receives replies for the election in November.

•Organizes and books the keynote speaker for the November meeting, when applicable.

Secretary:

•Writes and issues minutes for all meetings.

•Creates and sends out all monthly meeting flyers.

•Keeps statistics of meetings- attendance sheets, flyers, and handouts.
•Works with the President to plan programs and special events.

Treasurer:

•Submit monthly budget statements for SCLA monthly meetings

•Balances the division checkbook.

•Organizes the annual luncheon at the annual October meeting. This includes selecting the venue and confirming a speaker.
