 Announcing the Nassau/Suffolk
B.E.S.T. AWARD 2016
(Bringing Excellence in Service by Teens)

Purpose:
To honor significant contributions by a teenager to library services.
Award:
A commemorative plaque will be awarded to one teen in each county.
Each award recipient will also be given a $150 stipend.
Requirements:
·         Be a Nassau or Suffolk County resident.
·         Be a volunteer, employee or other affiliate of any library-related organization.
·         Have a library sponsor.
·         Submit a sponsor recommendation that demonstrates significant contribution to
library services.
·         Must be between 13 and 19 years of age.

Deadline:
Applications may be submitted beginning Monday, March 7, 2016 and must be received
no later than Monday, April 4, 2016. Applications should be sent to:

Selections:
A committee of the Young Adult Services Divisions of the Nassau and Suffolk County Library Associations will choose the winners. All entries will remain the property of those Divisions.
Each nominee will receive a certificate of appreciation and a letter of commendation from the B.E.S.T. Award committee.
