Active Listening Workshop - March 2012

The Active Listening Workshop was an excellent meeting that provided useful tips for better communication at libraries and at home. The representative from EAP was an engaging speaker who had a wealth of information on how to better communicate with our colleagues, patrons and everyone else. We discussed the roadblocks of being a good listener and ways to overcome these challenges.

EAP is a excellent service provided throughout Suffolk County, and free!

New Logo Contest - Now Accepting Submissions


Announced in this month's issue of Teen Talk, we are having a new logo contest. Feel free to submit a redesigned logo for the YASD. We are looking to update our look for 2012. Feel free to submit your design to jamiepapandrea@gmail.com to be considered. We will take the Top 3 redesigns and post them on the blog for members to vote. Submissions are not limited to YASD members, so spread the word.

 This is a great opportunity for you to show off your creativity!
